Clients and colleagues in the
UK and outside will be delighted to know that the Scottish referendum - which
you may have been observing with interest over the past few weeks - is now over.
The people of Scotland have decided that they wish to remain part of the United
Kingdom. We are glad to say that it is
business as usual today and for the foreseeable future.
Whilst outside the UK the
perception may have been of rapid political change in Scotland, for us it has
been part of a gradual political change ranging from the discovery of large
oilfields in the North Sea; the articulation of political change through the
1980s; the creation of the Scottish parliament in 1999; and moving on now to
further and greater devolution of decision making powers to Scotland. At
Cadogans we hope Scotland continues as a source of some of the best
graduates and highest quality engineering and technical expertise in the world.
Finally, we look forward to continuing
