Great Wilderness charity challenge complete

We are delighted to note that Cadogans hardy walking team have all returned safe and well (if rather wet and stiff) from the Great Wilderness Challenge which took place on Saturday 16th August 2014.

The challenge – from Dundonnell to Poolewe in the North West Highlands of Scotland - is undertaken to raise money for the Highlands Hospice and other needy charities in the area. Cadogans staff were delighted to find out not only about how the cash raised helps with end of life trauma associated with hospice care, but also to fund a defibrillator in the Poolewe community centre where local school children and community volunteers were trained on its use.

Once the blisters have died down and the aches and pains have been massaged away, the fundraising will be finalised and we hope to raise over £2000 this year.

Highland Challenge for Cadogans

Cadogans hardy outdoor types are gearing up for their latest charity team building event – the Great Wilderness Challenge (link to the following URL http://www.greatwildernesschallenge.info/index.asp?pageid=465377), which will take place on Saturday 16th August 2014.

It is a 25 mile walk in a beautiful but sparsely populated part of the North West Highlands from Dundonnell to Poolewe. As Scotland has recently been battered by the remnants of Hurricane Bertha, this years challenge may be much wetter and muddier than on previous occasions!

The team is hoping that their efforts will be rewarded by donations to a great charity – the Highland Hospice in Inverness. If you would like to donate to this fantastic cause and help those who are perhaps a little less fortunate than ourselves, then please lodge your donation at:
